The Miallet reservoir and its tourist attraction, is located just 12.5km from the holiday domain "Le Domaine du Moulin Neuf 1605", in the town of Mialet and is located in the east of the municipality, on the outskirts of the town of La Coquille. The reservoir can be reached via the departmental road D79 or via the road from Miallet to Mamont.

At 77 hectares, it is the largest body of water within an 80-km radius. It was created in 1993 on the course of the Côle, a tributary of the Dronne. The area is managed by the Dordogne department under the label "Sensitive Natural Area" with the help of the departmental fishermen's association and the local association "Bambou de Miallet".

The 9 km trail around the lake, marked with signs indicating natural resources, offers a nice 2-hour walk for the whole family on level ground. Sports enthusiasts will also appreciate the quality of the trail. An ornithological observation post will help you spot the various species present. The dam is home to grebes, mallards, blue herons and cranes, among others, which rest there during their migration.

For fishing enthusiasts, a variety of fish species are available, so every enthusiast can find their happiness. A jetty allows you to launch your boat. Two fishing jetties are also available for people with limited mobility. The place is known for carp fishing and has many places equipped for night fishing.

Do not hesitate to come and discover this reservoir, with friends or family. Numerous activities are organised during the summer season. A Terra Aventura trail is currently being developed. Finally, for picnic lovers, tables and benches are available all along the path.

Toilets and a car park are at your disposal. Don't forget to take your rubbish home with you, as there are no dustbins on the site, as part of everyone's eco-friendly management: zero waste.
