Luxury cottages - "Gîte La Fonderie" & "Gîte La Forge"

Book one of the two beautiful cottages "Gîte la Fonderie" (2 - 6 people) or "Gîte la Forge" (2 - 7 people) at the holiday domain "Le Domaine du Moulin Neuf 1605" with all the luxury of your own home for a long weekend, a midweek or just a whole week! The Gîtes are surrounded by many forests with views over the beautiful domaine and the large natural lake.

The two Gîtes "La Fonderie" (The Foundry) and "La Forge" (The Forge), both named after industrial activities that took place on the domain of "Le Moulin Neuf" between 1030 and 1950, are housed in an original building on the domain of "Le Moulin Neuf" that dates from 1605. The cottages "Gîte la Fonderie" and "Gîte la Forge" have many characteristic and original elements such as window shutters, thick "An Pierre" walls (up to 80cm thick!) with original wooden beams, trusses and a gigantic stone fireplace in the living room. There is really nothing lacking in luxury in the cottages!

Camper Space - Motorhome Space

For people travelling with an RV, the holiday domain "Le Domaine du Moulin Neuf 1605" offers the possibility to spend the night on the holiday domain for a small fee per RV.

It is definitely neither camping nor wild camping but something in between in a beautiful historical location with a large natural lake, a river (Le Périgord) and large forests. The holiday domain "Le Domaine du Moulin Neuf 1605" has a lot of attention and respect for nature, the animals living there and their preservation. Climate-responsible living and business is actually an obligation for everyone but it always starts with yourself! For the holiday domain "Le Domaine du Moulin Neuf 1605" an idealistic way of thinking and working!  It is not possible to compensate for the damage humans cause to nature; there are too many of them in this world for that. At the holiday domain "Le Domaine du Moulin Neuf 1605", you can go on holiday in a climate-neutral way, e.g. the water from the lake is used to generate electricity by means of a water turbine (Hydro Power 12 kWh) for the outdoor swimming pool, the owner's house and the (auxiliary) buildings, 21 solar panels (400Wp) have been installed for the electricity of the "Gîtes" cottages and the owner's house, the outdoor swimming pool is heated with a special solar boiler and spring water (eau de source) is used for drinking water supply, flushing the toilets, showers and even filling the outdoor swimming pool.
